Our day began,
with a calm, cool bride in the chaos of Central Philadelphia. A bride's feelings, troubles and nerves are thrusted to the forefront of their minds caused by the buzzing of their loved ones asking for decisions left and right. Not Rachael. She was the epitome of grace. She found solutions so effortlessly and was able to stabilize any hiccup attempting to rear it's head in. Everything was perfect. She made sure of it with her effortless resolutions. I assisted her in awe as she asked for reassurance with the cadence of the timeline and minor setbacks. That's usually my job! I have not met a bride with such steadiness. I reflected on the situation and I realized her nature was one of certainty. Certain she would have the day she deserved with the one she loved. Ryan.
They met via trolly at Washington Square Park for their first look. This location was busy it seemed until Rachael made her way over to Ryan. She touched his shoulder and we noticed an adagio in pace. The parked slowed down to witness his eyes meet hers. They read their vows to each other and their words were their own secret. A secret song their hearts harmonized under the shade of the trees.
The historic church silenced the city with it's jaw dropping architecture. Echoes of a cello harmoniously paired with the choir made for a heavenly ceremony. Adoring family and friends met in the courtyard for large group photos and laughter. Where quick tales of the past and congratulations were shared. And then. My favorite sliver of the day, the couple's photos. We escaped on a walk through lush parks, and cobblestone ally's. Marble columns and granite steps embraced their new found union. They are finally together. Really together.
The rambunctious reception began with a choreographed first dance from the Mr. & Mrs. and ended with a serenade by the bride to her mother causing tender tears as she moved the room with the vibrato of her voice.
These experiences are snippets the whole crowd was lucky enough to enjoy and will mention for years to come. Attention to detail. Breathtaking spaces. Ending with the forte of love measured in trust and communication to achieve perfect pitch on their wedding day.
