get to know us a little better

Well…


my name is Mel and I am an artist! I studied Painting and film photography at Bloomsburg University. After school my husband joined the military and I had no idea what to do for work in this new town. I had worked in child care for a few years and realized how easy it was for me to make them smile. I had worked in a portrait studio for 2 years so I had some experience but when my coworker noticed how I was with the kids she had asked me to do some family portraits for her. It was super fun! When her daughter got engaged and she told me I was the one she wanted to photograph the wedding. It was nerve-racking but I fell in love with the vibe of the whole day. Everyone and everything was beautiful and I was hooked!

We ended the military term and I had to figure out what to do…again, so I went for it. I decided to do photography full time and we are pleased to say we have been in business at Lewisburg Studio by Melo Foto for 3 years ! It started out as something fun and became my passion. Allowing the capture of an image, a perception of the subjects light. Unique in every frame.


We are constantly growing, with adding hair and makeup to our service list and building up our team.
